Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda informed the State Assembly on Thursday that an enquiry is being conducted on the alleged scam in the selection of 50 films for State subsidy ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 25 lakh per film. He announced that strict action will be initiated against those found guilty. He said that relevant documents have been procured from the Information Department. The CM was replying to question from MS Koujalagi. Members Doddarange Gowda, Jaggesh, Sandesh Nagaraj, Srinivas and others participated in the discussion and urged the Government not to stop subsidy to films on the premise of an enquiry. They asked the Government to keep away those involved in lobbying and involve those serving the industry for decades as members of the subsidy selection committee.
